A Day for Smiles! So I have a little bit of news. College is over and I dunno if I'll be going back but we all know that for my graded unit my theme was the light and dark side of Alice in Wonderland and I found out a little while ago that I past and got an A! Not gonna lie I honestly thought I was going to get a B but if you all know me I want to be as good as I can be so I was thrilled when I received the highest grade!
Something else for me to smile about is that I want to get a chunk of the 100 theme challenge complete this summer and I've already scored out five! It's getting even harder and harder to come up with ideas but I've got a proper idea journal notebook now so that'll make things a bit easier.
And last but not least...I got a second DD! *Dies* Wow! I wasn't expecting that again, and given to one of my graded unit photos! I think what makes me super happy is because if someone asked me "Which one of your works would you like as a DD?" etc I would have never thought that one! So all I want
The Creative Eye Addiction, New Feature!Well there are A LOT of eye drawings on DA, and when I say A LOT I mean thousands. At first I was thinking I'd go for eye colour but instead I went for creative and different ones. So I searched 'eye' and put many different words beside it and these are all the ones I have found so far (I'm not sure how much space I have left to add more) I am going to do more 'Eye' features in the future with other themes so look forward to them.

Happy 203 Watchers! And a BIG Thank YouWell for a few weeks I've gained a HUGE amount of watchers which has been a lovely great surprise, I've talked to a lot of incredible and amazing people and I so hope we all talk more. It's a bit weird talking about this as if I'm to be honest I never once thought I would get over two hundred watchers, though I'm sure some of you will ignore this blog hehe we all do it sometimes.
But anyway, hello all my new and old watchers, it's about time we all sat down and had a proper chat with one and other.
My name is Jenna but I like being called Jen-Jen, I live in a little place called Scotland and I am a ex photography student but after the Summer I going to be doing a Art and Design course which I am really excited about. What about you? You at college or got a job? I love art and photography, music is one of the things that really inspires me, my favourite bands are Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance, Madina Lake and Halestorm, which bands do you like to listen to? I am a BIG Batman/Joker fan

ART OF THE SHADOW vol 1Hello, dear friends and visitors who can join whenever they want this group :iconshadowlightseeker:
I'm happy to make such connection of the element shadow which create a lot of the effects on the photography.
The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking.
Brooks Anderson, Once Around the Sun
A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.
The magic of photography is metaphysical. What you see in the photograph isn't what you saw at the time. The real skill of photography is organized visual lying.
Is shadow visual lie?
While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see.
ANYWAY, ALWAYS THE BEST PART: the art of shadows.

"If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera"
- Lewis Hine
This week I happened across a Photographer who shoots the economy - currently in the UK. If you ever wondered what Economy looks like - and what the recession looks like - in the Photographic sense then wonder no more. Simon Robert's has it captured. What really struck me though, aside from the complete normality and sometimes mundane life that made the photographs, was the comments on the Article that I read about Simon. The BBC Wrote about him yesterday and nearly all the comments were from people advocating boredom. The Irony is that Simon Robert's had, in full colour, photographed our lives. And the general consensus was that it was dull and unimaginative. How very English we are.
